a new generation of listeners to the art of audio theater, and introduced
the use of movie-style special effects techniques to audio theater
production.
Two Plays for Voices
From the pen of author Neil Gaiman comes two distinctive tales.
Snow Glass Apples tells the tale of Snow White
from the Stepmother's perspective, starring Bebe Neuwirth. Murder
Mysteries stars Brian Dennehy as the Angel of Veneance,
as he investigates the universes first murder -- which took
place in heaven's City of God.
Box of Time
An odd tale about time travel and ancient Mayan civilzation. Fast-paced
Firesign-influenced audio art from the mind of Cat Simril. Norman Corwin's Letters (hardbound book) reveals through
his own words the life of the man who has been America's premiere
audio dramatist through 8 decades. A revealing look not only at Corwin
himself, but at radio drama, the country, and the world as it developed
through this amazing man's lifetime. 13 For Corwin (book) -- Tributes to Norman Corwin by Ray Bradbury,
Charles Kuralt, Studs Turkel, Norman Lear, and others. Yiddish Radio Project chronicles the early history of radio. Stations
serving the Jewish community of major cities served as microcosm
for current and future trends in radio, and TV. A remarkable documentary
from NPR. Radio Rep Company on America's The Adventure of Red Cloud stars
Traci Lords as Red Cloud -- a spy on a mission of vengeance. Original
music and sound effects make Radio Rep Company's productions a fun
feast for the ears. |
