How Does It Work?
This is an active on-line
catalog that works by a search engine. You choose what you'd like
to see, and it will appear on your screen. It's easy.
-
Enter a search term related to what you are looking for in
the box which appears at the top of every screen. Press search.
- Your search term can be the producer, title, artist, actors,
or any term related to what you are looking for.
-
Use Advanced Search to search by Artist or Genre.
Select the Artist and/or Genre you are looking for. If you
wish, you can also narrow it down by keyword. Click on SEARCH.
Use Your Shopping Basket!
-
Even if you're not
planning to order, you can use the shopping-basket feature
(see "How
To Shop," below, for more instructions) to keep track of items
you're interested in. You can view your list at any time, delete
things, or add things.
-
When you click on VIEW
SHOPPING LIST, you see the full listings
of all the items you've selected.
-
Clicking on BUY
SHOPPING LIST does not place an order --
it just shows you the order you have assembled. After
reviewing your order, you can then proceed to place your
order.

Handy Hints for better
Keyword searching: The Keyword search
will find any items whose database listing contains an exact
match for what you enter in the keyword box. Capitalization does
not matter! The search engine will ignore any difference between
upper and lower-case letters. But it will search for whatever
combination of letters, numbers, symbols, and SPACES which you
enter -- in the exact order you enter them.
You can enter a space
first, or at the end, to narrow the search. If you search for "car" you
will find listings which have the word "car" and any which have
words like "carton" or "cardiac" or "scarface" or whatever. If
you search for "car " with a space after the r, you won't see
the listings containing the longer words. Searching for " car " with
spaces on each side will eliminate "scarface" and the like.
Try entering a title,
and go right to that product. Or enter the name of a person,
like "ossman" (for Firesign Theatre fans) or "nimoy" (for Star
Trek fans) and see every product they're associated with. Or
enter a subject, like "world war II" or "travel" or "vampire" and
see what comes up. Enter "award" to see all the award-winning
productions.
We're always refining
our listings, and feedback is always welcome. If you spot something
that isn't working as expected, drop us an e-mail -- thanks! |
