Dirk Maggs is a writer and producer of audio drama
for the BBC. Known for productions outside of the established norms
for radio drama, Dirks contemporary sensibility and sense of humor
have won him a worldwide fanbase.
Dirk creates what he calls “Audio Movies” - fully
cast atmospheric drama productions with layers of cinematic effects
and music.
In 2004 Dirk is directed, adapted and co-produced two brand new
series of THE Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams,
who originally chose Dirk for the job in 1993. The programmes
feature the original cast from the first two radio series.
